Aitor Karanka has been one of he busiest head coaches in the Premier League this summer, seeing 11 players through the doors on Teesside even before deadline day.

Middlesbrough have, today, confirmed that the former Spain under-19 international, Adama Traore will join Middlesbrough from Aston Villa and sign a four-year contract.

The Middlesbrough head coach told the club's official website that he is 'expecting a lot' from Traore and that 'in the right environment I’m hoping that he will show what he is capable of.'

What will Adama Traore bring to Boro?

Despite not scoring last year for Aston Villa, Karanka obviously has faith in the former Barcelona man. He believes that Traore will bring a spark to the team.

Yesterday, local paper The Gazette reported Middlesbrough were looking to add pace and balance to the Teesside outfit and the hierarchy at the North East club will be hoping Traore will bring this.

Traore was said to have travelled to Middlesbrough last night and has since passed a medical and completed his transfer to Karanka's side.

Adama deal means Adomah is off

The Adomah deal to Villa has also been completed. The Ghanaian international has joined the Villains, ending his three-year association with Middlesbrough.

Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia, however, did post a picture of Albert Adomah earlier today, wearing the claret and blue of the Midlands club suggesting the deal was done.

It is only in the past few minutes, however, that the deal has been confirmed by Aston Villa on twitter.

It is unclear if the two players have been involved in a swap deal or if the two deals are independent of each other.

Stay with Boro VAVEL on twitter to find out more about these deals and others, on deadline day today.
