Sunderland coach Gus Poyet will be monitoring the fitness of Anthony Reveillere ahead of the Boxing Day game against Hull City.

The defender was in the starting XI ahead of the Tyne-Wear derby before picking up an injury in the warm-up, the full-back was repalced by Sebastian Coates who was one of stand outs in Suderland's 1-0 victory on Tyneside for the third consecutive year.

After the game Poyet didnt rule out an ealy return for Billy Jones

He said: "We’ve no idea on Anthony; he’ll get checked in the morning and we’ll wait and see, it was a tough moment losing him on the day.

“I was saying a few weeks ago we didn’t need to throw in Billy Jones; who knows what will happen next week?”

Poyet will be without striker Connor Wickham for the Boxing Day match as he picked up a one-match ban after recieving his fifth yellow card of the season at St. James' Park.
