Tottenham look set to sign England under-21 international Eric Dier from Sporting Lisbon.
The 20-year-old, who has made five appearances for the England under-21s, has rejected a contract extension and is expected to join for £4million.
Dier moved to the Portuguese club when he was 10 after moving to Portugal with his parents from Cheltenham.
During his time with club he has made 26 appearances and his only experience of English football was in a loan spell with Everton where he turned out for the youth team on a regular basis.
Tottenham hope to make Eric Dier their third signing of the summer after securing deals for Ben Davies and Michel Vorm.
