Tottenham's young English striker Harry Kane has shown his appreciation to the Tottenham supporters as well as club legend Jurgen Klinsmann, after all of the positive comments and special chants that he has been receiving. His goal-scoring form of late has been impressive, as he has worked hard for the recognition that he deserves.

9 goals in his last 10 appearances in all competitions including the Europa League where the young forward is flourishing, it is clear to see that he is doing well and is a real positive surrounding the uncertainty and disappointment of Spurs' season so far.

His equalising goal against Hull in the Premier League on Sunday helped contribute to the team, as they managed to come from behind to beat ten-men away from home at the KC Stadium; and his passion to play week-in week-out is highlighted by his desire to perform at the highest level regardless of the competition.

Kane himself had this to say about his positive reception: "To be a fan myself and to be one of those fans singing in the crowd when I was younger, it makes it more special now (to hear the chants). When you get a home-grown player come through the ranks, I think there is a little more feeling about them and when you do well the fans take to you."

When asked about his goal against Aston Villa: "People were quick to compare it to Klinsmann, maybe it was in the back of my mind, but it was special to do that in-front of the away fans. Even for him to be talking about it and to have seen it is a bit surreal. These are the players you gew up looking and idolising, and now they look me. Teddy Sheringham was a real idol of mine and Klinsmann was when I was a bit younger, both were top strikers who scored a lot of goals for the club - I feel confident that if I get a couple of chances I will be able to take one, that has been happening so far this season, but there is still a long way to go and I hope I can continue.
