Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has put pen-to-paper a new five-and-a-half year contract with the Premier League side.

The 21-year-old has been in captivating form across the season for the North London outfit, and has been rewarded for his 20 goals across all competitions.

An academy graduate at White Hart Lane, Kane grew up as a childhood Tottenham fan from Walthamstow. Initially making his debut for the first team in 2011 – a goalless Europa League with Hearts in which Kane won and subsequently missed a penalty, he scored in his Premier League debut just last season.

With 13 Premier League starts and a further six appearances from the bench this season, Kane has enjoyed loan spells with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City prior to his goal blitz at White Hart Lane.

He has also impressed while on international duty, representing England at an Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level; having currently netted eight goals in 10 games for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Kane has now secured his future at Tottenham under 2020, handing the side a major boost in their push for European qualification; with a North London derby with Arsenal looming on Sunday.

He is now tipped to make his full England debut later this year, although is also eligible to represent the Republic of Ireland, through his Galway-born father.

Only four players have scored more league goals than Kane this season.
