Contract negotiations between Tottenham, Nabil Bentaleb and his agent have reportedly come to a halt with the player growing increasingly frustrated.

Bentaleb has said he is getting “tired” of protracted contract negotiations with Tottenham.

“We’ve been negotiating for nearly nine months now, since September, and it’s getting really long and, of course, I’m getting a little bit tired of it.”

Bentaleb has however explained that he's started to love Tottenham Hotspur as if he “was a fellow supporter.”

Since his debut in 2013, Bentaleb has established himself as a first team regular and one of the first names on the team sheet.

The 20 year old is contracted until 2018, however believes the contracts he has been offered are not close enough to the average for a player of his age and talent.

Friction between Bentaleb and Levy has put several Champions League clubs on alert including local rivals Arsenal, as well as European giants PSG and Juventus
