Tottenham Hotspur host Swansea City on Sunday afternoon, looking to keep pace with Leicester City at the top of the Premier League.
No second cup exit
Some pressure may have been starting to mount for Spurs heading into the second leg of their Europa League tie against Fiorentina on Thursday, but Tottenham eased the nerves of their fans with an accomplished perfromance and 3-0 victory to keep them going on two fronts this season.
More good news for manager Mauricio Pochettino is that Harry Kane is set to return up front, despite having a broken nose he picked up in the FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace last week. The England international may have to wear a mask against the Swans, but this hasn't stopped others with similar injuries from performing this season.
Another cause for optimism for Spurs going into this game is the fact they have not lost any of the nine Premier League meetings they've had with Swansea since the Welsh side were promoted to the top flight in 2011. This will undoubtedly play on the visitors minds for this one.
While Spurs fixture' list seems to have been non stop, Swansea have not played in two weeks due to an early exit from the FA Cup. Francesco Guidolin had a good start in English managment with back to back wins, but they've only picked up two points from their three games since and remain firmly in the relegation picture just three points above the bottom three.
The two players notably missing for Spurs are midfeilder Moussa Dembele with a groin injury and Ryan Mason due to an achillies problem.
Swansea on the other hand will have a full squad available after a fortnight break with their only concern being the health of their head coach, but he will be in the dugout for this match.
Spurs have won all four Premier League meetings at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have recovered 14 points from losing positions this season, more than any other team in the top flight.
Spurs have the most shots on target in the Premier League with 170 and have allowed the fewest shots on target against them with 79.
