After a refreshing break following their agonising title challenge last season, the majority of Tottenham Hotspur's senior squad returned for the start of pre-season training on Monday morning.
Victor Wanyama joined up with some of his new teammates for the first time, following his £12million move from Southampton in the past couple of weeks.
A mix of stars present and absent
Christian Eriksen, who spoke about Spurs taking the next step in their progression this season, was another in attendance, having not been on international duty with Denmark this summer, due to their failure to qualify for the European Championships in France.
Two players that have been linked with moves away from the club were present, in Alex Pritchard and Son Heung-Min. Pritchard has been rumoured to be on his way to Napoli, whilst Son is reportedly considering a move away following a tough first season at White Hart Lane.
All Spurs players that were away at the Euros, plus those such as Erik Lamela, who was with Argentina at the Copa America, are yet to return as they're allowed extended holiday to compensate for the international activites.
These players include the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, who were both part of the disappointing England performance, whilst Hugo Lloris is still at the tournament as France look to take the trophy.
Ready to go again
A gruelling fitness program is set to make up most of the first week, with manager Mauricio Pochettino determined to get his squad as fit as possible in order to compete on all four fronts next season.
They've a number of high profile pre-season friendlies lined up, with fixtures scheduled against the likes of Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan in the coming months, before their domestic season kicks off away to Everton on August 13.
