Two of Watford’s early Premier League fixtures have been chosen for TV coverage as the new season edges ever closer.

Red Devils arrive in September

The Hornets home clash with Jose Mourinho’s new Manchester United side will be the lunchtime offering from BT Sport on Sunday 18 September. The Red Devils' trip to Vicarage Road is due to kick off at 12pm, with the world watching on as the home team look to spring a surprise against Mourinho's men.

The following matchweekweek Walter Mazzarri will take his side to Turf Moor to take on newly promoted Burnley, live on Sky Sports on September 26.

That game will see former Vicarage Road chief Sean Dyche, who spent five years at the club between 2007 and 2012, return. He joined as an under 18’s coach before being made assistant manager to Malky Mackay. When Mackay departed to join Cardiff City in the summer of 2011 Dyche was promoted to the role of manager.

Dyche won 17 of his 49 games in charge before being sacked due to a change of ownership at the end of that season. He has since led Burnley to promotion twice, most recently this past season.

Long season ahead

Although the tv schedules for the early season games are the only ones out yet, Watford could look forward to being televised on a number of occasions in the coming months.

The Christmas period is always looked forward to so much by supporters up and down the land. This December promises to be as busy as ever for the Watford faithful, as they play the likes of Everton, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

As well as that fantastic festive program Walter Mazzarri’s side also face a tricky run in at the end of the campaign including games with champions Leicester City and Liverpool.
