Watford winger Juanfran has been somewhat of an invisible character since he walked through the doors at Vicarage Road back in 2014.
His turmoil is set to continue for yet another season after the club announced that he would be spending next season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna.
And with new boss Walter Mazzarri looking to bring in more players this transfer window, his future at the Hornets looks in doubt.
Winger set to join Deportivo on loan again
The 27-year-old was first announced as a Watford player back in September 2014, but didn’t formally join the club until the following summer.
Juanfran cost the Hornets £1.5 million, but spent the full 2014-15 season in Spain with La Coruna, making 34 appearances and scoring one goal in the process.
His arrival at Vicarage Road was brief of that, because he was loaned out the following season back to Deportivo, and again, he played a big part in their season.
However, three years down the line, he has not made a single appearance for the Hornets, and he is set to play in Spain once more for the same club.
Juanfran’s future with Watford in doubt
And several players have headed for the exits too, including Gabriele Angella and Juan Manuel Jurado, but Juanfran may well join them after his season on loan is up.
Deportivo have announced that they have the option to bring the winger to Spain on a permanent deal at the end of next season.
Juanfran has made 69 league appearances in his two season-long loan spells with La Coruna, and has scored twice, but he will be looking to make a further impact if he is to make La Liga his new home.
