West Brom manager Tony Pulis has admitted that the club may lose highly-rated English young striker Saido Berahino to a top Premier League club this summer, as the 21-year-old has been attracting interest from the top clubs in the league.

Berahino has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns over the past year, with Liverpool and Tottenham just two of the sides interested in him. Transfer rumours have run rampant, and according to fresh reports, he is set to leave the club in the summer, with their away fixture against third place Arsenal expected to be his last for the Baggies. Pulis' men are 13th in the league, and despite rejuvenuating the team since being appointed as manager earlier on in the season, Saido appears to be a "big fish in a small pond", and has been one of, if not their best player this season, despite spells of inconsistency where goals are concerned.

He scored a brace in West Brom's surprise 3-0 victory over a lacklustre Chelsea side on Monday night, ending a run of 652 minutes without a goal in the league before that. Despite this, the U21 forward has scored 14 goals this campaign (PL only), with only Alexis Sánchez, Charlie Austin, Diego Costa, Harry Kane and Sergio Agüero recording more than him.

Pulis had this to say, as quoted by Sky Sports: "If he plays well at this club then a top four club might come in and West Brom will not stop him as long as the deal is right. We hope and pray he stays with us because he has a lot more to come and we don't think he is at the end of his development. If a top four club comes in and the clubs agree a fee and it's all done, everyone can shake hands and say what a great job he has done for the club. Not only has he been here since he was a young lad, and we have looked after him, but the club have made money on him and we have to reinvest in other people - that's a fact of life.

Saido has been in the shop window for the last year. There's no problem with that, the most important thing is Saido keeps that to one side and concentrates on his football. That's why people are talking about him, because he has done the business on the pitch.

Any transfer fee in the region of £20-25million pounds plus, is one that WBA will reportedly consider.
