Celtic have made their first signing of the transfer window in 31 year old goalkeeper, Craig Gordon.
The ex-Hearts and Sunderland shot-stopper has put pen to paper on a two year deal with the club having the option to add another 12 months.
Gordon becomes new manager Ronny Deila's first signing at the club since taking over from Neil Lennon last month.
A product of the Hearts youth academy, Craig Gordon signed for Sunderland in 2009 for a record £9m, however the Scot's tenure in the North-East of England was one to forget as a recurring knee injury kept him on the sidelines. He was released by the Black Cats in April 2012.

Gordon spent the latter half of last season training with Rangers as he aimed to get back to playing first team football and has spoken of his ambitions to re-claim the Scotland number 1 jersey, having made 40 caps for his country.
Speaking in May, Gordon admitted: "The ideal scenario would be to come back playing at the top and become Scotland No 1 again. "
The 31 year old flew out to Austria today to meet up with his new team mates, as Celtic begin their pre-season tonight against Russian club FK Krasnodar.
The addition of Craig Gordon raises questions about whether Fraser Forster will remain at the club. The Englishman has impressed in his 4 years in Glasgow and was part of the Three Lions squad in Brazil this summer.
Meanwhile second choice keeper Lukasz Zaluska only has a year remaining on his contract.
Deila has hinted at a second signing in teenager Martin Ødergaard. The Hoops boss gave Ødergaard his debut this season at the tender age of 15 when he was in charge of Norwegian champions Stromsgodset.
"It’s incorrect to say that Martin is outwith our range. He must do what is best for him and we will do what is best for us – we’ll see if our paths meet at a later date," said Deila.
