It's been a busy day at Celtic Park, and not only because the squad are flying to Poland tomorrow ahead of the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against Legia Warsaw.

Youngster Tony Watt, perhaps remembered for his winning goal over Barcelona in the Champions League two years ago, has signed for Belgian club Standard Liège. The 20 year old is believed to have cost the club around £1.2m and has signed a five year contract.

Watt is no stranger to Belgian football, as he spent last season on loan at Lierse SK, amid rumours of a falling out with then Celtic manager Neil Lennon. Watt scored 6 goals in 13 appearances at Lierse last year.

Posting on twitter, Watt said: "Delighted to sign a five year contract with Standard Liège today."

"It wasn't an easy decision to decide to leave the club I support and I honestly can't explain the feeling I got everytime I wore the Hoops."

Meanwhile, The Hoops have brought in striker Jo Inge Berget on a six month loan deal from Cardiff City. The 23 year old has only made 1 appearance for the Welsh club since signing in January from Molde.

Berget has previously played under current Celtic gaffer Ronny Deila at Strømsgodset in Norway.

Berget told the Official Celtic Website: "I am delighted to join Celtic and I'm looking to make the very best of this great opportunity."

"I know what a magnificent club Celtic is and what the club means to the supporters. It's a real privilege to be here."

"I also know the manager very well and I am delighted to be teaming up with him again and, of course, the great squad of players at the club."

Deila added: "I'm really pleased that we've been able to add Jo to our squad. I know his qualities and I am sure he can add something new to the team."

"He is a player who will work hard and give everything to the team. I hope he can enjoy a successful time at Celtic."

Jo Inge Berget will be a part of the squad which flies to Poland tomorrow ahead of the tie against Legia Warsaw.
