As the Damallsvenskan returns after the break, there are four exciting matches. The focus will be on the relegation battle, as the top four are all in action playing each other. Due to the Svenska Cupen Final on Sunday, the top two clubs are not in action.

The bottom four clubs meet

Umeå IK FF takes on Kvarnsvedens IK with the two teams go into this match level on points, although Umeå is in the relegation zone, separated by a two-goal worse goal difference.

Although Umeå had lost their last game against Eskilstuna United DFF, they had won their two games before that in a turnaround in form. These two wins are the only victories they have picked up in the league this season to date after they had drawn their opening three games.

Kvarnsvedens IK is in worse form, having lost their past four matches – although two of those matches had been against the top side FC Rosengård. Their last victory was actually against Umeå who they beat 3-1.

The winners could move as high up as eighth.

Mallbackens IF Sunne host bottom-placed side Kristianstads DFF as both teams look forward to moving away from the relegation zone.

Mallbackens are unbeaten in their past two matches, winning one and drawing one – although they have lost their past two away games, including their last match against KIF Örebro DFF.

Kristianstads has lost their past two matches, however, before that, they had picked up their only two wins of the season. Their last win came against Mallbackens.

Mallbackens can move up to eight with a win whilst Kristianstads could move out of the relegation zone and up to ninth with a victory.

Fight for third

Fourth-placed Piteå IF host seventh-placed KIF Örebro DFF as they both try and climb up the table.

Piteå sits just one behind third place – although, just two points separate third and sixth. Despite lost their past match against Linköpings, before that, Piteå had been in great form winning two games and drawing another. They've lost just four games but have conceded too many goals as they sit with a negative goal difference.

Örebro goes into this match on the back of a four-game unbeaten run, winning and drawing twice. This run has seen them move from the relegation zone and up to the table into a position where they have a chance to finish in the top three.

The last time these two sides met at the start of Örebro's recent good form when the two sides competed in a goalless draw.

If Piteå wins, they could climb up to third whereas a victory for Örebro might see them move up one spot to sixth.

Third-placed Eskilstuna United DFF takes on eighth-placed Vittsjö GIK.

Eskilstuna needs to win to make sure they hold onto their current position. Their win in their past game had ended a poor run of form where they had gone four games, just picking up one point. That run saw them pick up three of their five defeats this season.

Vittsjö is unbeaten in their past two matches, although both of them ended in 2-2 draws. They've only picked up two wins this season, but it is their six draws that keep them three points clear of the relegation zone. They need to pick up wins if they are to avoid a relegation battle.

If Eskilstuna loses, they could drop one place down to fourth. A Vittsjö win could see them climb up to seventh.
