Matchday 2 of the Division 1 Féminine returned this weekend after a break for international duties and there were once again goals aplenty in the second week of competitive action.

Juvisy 6-0 Metz

After a surprising 1-0 defeat to EA Guingamp in the first week of competitive fixtures, Juvisy bounced back emphatically to put 6 past FC Metz on Matchday 2. Juvisy will look to their France internationals this season to build on the fourth place finish from the previous campaign and two of manager Emmanuel Beauchet's best players got them off to an impressive start, netting two of Juvisy's three goals in the opening 16 minutes.

Forward Kadidiatou Diani opened the scoring for Juvisy in the 12th minute and Gaëtane Thiney scored a double either side of a Tatiana Coleman strike to give Beauchet's side a 4-0 lead going in to the break.

FC Metz can safely say they have had a difficult first two fixtures, the newcomers were put to the sword at home to Montpellier last week with a 5-0 defeat and things didn't get any easier after the break against Juvisy.

Coleman added her second just after half-time before Annaig Butel sealed the deal late on to secure Metz' place at the bottom of the table.

PSG 1-0 Olympique Marseille

After Paris Saint-Germain began with a convincing opening day win over ASPTT Albi, putting four past the team who finished seven points off the relegation spots last time around. Patrice Lair's side were looking for more of the same against Marseille, when they play in the first ever Classico between the two sides in the history of the Division 1 Féminine.

As the first half concluded, few chances were created and little could separate the two sides before the break. PSG began to take advantage in the second half and Marie-Laure Delie's header in the 49th minute was the difference. The forward was close to getting a second moments later following an impressive one-two with Veronica Boquete but the French striker failed to convert the opportunity.

A victory for PSG puts them level on points with rivals Lyon, albeit goal difference separating the two sides. It may be early to call the title race just yet, but Patrice Lair will hope a good start for his side can set a precedent for the rest of the season - after they were pipped to the title by Lyon last time around.

Montpellier 3-0 Guingamp

Montpellier began the season with a 5-0 thrashing of newly-promoted Metz on Matchday 1 and they continued their fine form against Guingamp, who pulled off a shock victory over top of the table finishers Juvisy in their previous fixture.

Jean-Louis Saez's side, who will hope to occupy one of the top spots at the end of the season after finishing third in the last campaign, were brimming with confidence after the victory over Metz and this was clear going into this weekend's fixture.

Montpellier got off to a brilliant start taking a deserved early lead courtesy of Sofia Jakobsson in the 6th minute and the Sweden forward doubled her tally and her teams lead just before the break. Clarisse Le Bihan sealed the deal in the 69th minute and secured the three points for her side, who will face a much sterner test in Paris Saint-Germain on October 2nd.

Rodez 1-1 Soyaux

The previous season's surprise side, who finished a commendable fifth place last time out, seem to be finding things a little more difficult this time around. Sébastien Joseph's side were looking to build off last week's draw with Saint-Étienne with a win over Soyaux - the bottom of the table team had a torrid time in their opening fixture with a 9-0 defeat to defending champions Lyon.

Soyaux were far improved in Sunday's fixture, grabbing a well-earned point against a solid Rodez team. Jean Parédès' side showed great character to cancel out Laurie Cance's first half opener for Rodez, an Anna Clerac equaliser in the 69th minute was enough to take a point for Soyaux.

Olympique Lyonnais 6-0 ASPTT Albi

Lyon maintained their fine form this week as ASPTT Albi were demolished in a 6-0 victory.

It has been most notable that Lyon have suffered with injury absences of late, that growing in the international break with the likes of Caroline Seger and Kenza Dalie both set to miss minutes for their team - but it certainly hasn't hampered the champions performances so far this season.

Early pressure from Lyon saw the defending champions put increasing pressure on former goalkeeper Cindy Perrault and the pressure finally paid off in the 18th minute as Dzenifer Marozsan, who signed from FFC Frankfurt on a two-year contract in May, opened the scoring.

Amel Majri then doubled the lead with a left-footed shot and Claire Lavogez added a third with a fine strike into the side of the net just before the break. Norway international Ada Hegerberg, once again added two goals to the tally - either side of a Marozsan strike to send the tie out of sight.

Bordaeux 0-7 AS Saint-Etienne

After a 1-1 draw with Rodez in the first game of the season, manager Servé Didier wanted more from his team and he certainly got an improved performance against Bordaeux.

Unfortunately, signs were already looking bad for Bordaeux inside the 3rd minute. Audrey Chaumette, the Saint Etienne striker, found herself one-on-one with Elisa Launay and managed to slot the ball past the Bordaeux keeper. The forward caused the opposition all sorts of problems and remarkably got her reward by sealing a hat-trick inside 20 minutes.

Strikes from Julie Peruzzetto and Rose Lavaud put AS Saint-Etienne out of sight and the game to bed inside the first 45 minutes. The Girondines looked far more assured after the break, however, somewhat against the run of play Julie Peruzzetto added her second and Saint-Etienne's sixth in the 64th minute. Maëlle Garbino sealed Bordaeux's fate with a seventh goal and sent Didier's side in to fourth place in the table.
