Fernando Alonso, Formula One's 'Mr Consistent', is at the centre of a rumour mill which is generating three different outcomes for the 2005 and 2006 World Champion. With Red Bull and McLaren being rumoured to want the Spaniard in their cars for 2015, and also his current team Ferrari are very keen to hold on to their driver. All three teams have their merits, and to be linked with three of Formula One's most successful teams, must be something of a compliment to Alonso, but which move is best?

Red Bull

A move to the reigning champions would perhaps seem like a better option for Alonso, with them possibly providing him with the car capable of giving him a third world title. He would be teamed up with young star Daniel Ricciardo should he move, who would give him a challenge and keep him on his toes. It's hard to see Alonso coming to Red Bull though, with Sebastian Vettel's relationship with both team and team principal Christian Horner being so strong.

McLaren

This rumour may come as a surprise to the fans who remember Alonso's ill-fated season with McLaren in 2007. Alonso was the reigning champion at the time and would drive alongside McLaren protege Lewis Hamilton, who was in his debut year. Both drivers narrowly missed out on the title to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, and Alonso made a swift return to Renault for 2008. But with Alonso and team boss Ron Dennis supposedly settling their differences, a move to the Wokng based team could happen, with McLaren yet to announce their 2015 driver lineup.

Ferrari

The Spaniard has been with Ferrari since 2010, and hasn't had the desired success at the Scuderia. He's become one of Formula One's most consistent drivers, and has narrowly missed out on the title in 2010 and 2012. It's rumoured Alonso is becoming frustrated at Ferrari and could be moving away for a fresh start, this would be a huge loss to the 'prancing horse'. Despite not winning a race this season, Alonso sits fourth in the driver's standngs, so to lose such a consistent driver would be terrible.

So with the announcements for drivers coming thick and fast, all three moves are viable, but it's likely Red Bull will maintain their current lineup for 2015. 2016 could bring a Red Bull drive for Alonso, but as far as 2015 is concerned, McLaren or Ferrari are his best options.
