Q2. Chequered Flag! Mercedes stay in pits. Raikkonen goes ninth, but Kvyat pushes him down to tenth. Sutil, Hulkenberg and Perez definitely out. Felipe Massa splits the Mercedes cars! great lap from Felipe. Magnussen out, which means Jenson has won both the Qualifying fight (10-9) and the race fight is currently 14-4, look at thetats Ron they don't lie!

Q2. Magnussen goes eighth, but he doesn't appear to be safe, Jenson goes sixth but will probably try and get another lap in as we enter rhe final minute.

Q2. The McLarens are out on track! can either of them manage a top ten slot? as the reason for Jenson coming in is the lack of fuel in e car, to which Jenson responds "are you serious?" Not a happy Jenson there.

Q2. All the cars are coming in. Six minutes remain as the teams contemplate either staying in and risking it, or going out and setting a faster time.

Q2. The McLaren's are yet to set a time yet, Button on track, Magnussen is still in the pits.  Rosberg looks set to go fastest after a strong first sector. But after a poor third sector, he goes second with a 1:41.4, as Button comes back in without setting a lap.

Q2. Hamilton sets the first sub 1:41 lap! he sets a 1:40.9, that's the benchmark, your move Nico....

Q2. Nico Hulkenberg is set to post a time lap of Q2. The German driver has performed well this season, but hasn't been in the top ten since Hungary, he sets a 1:43.2, almost a second slower than team mate Sergio Perez.

Q2. A 1:41.9 is the supposed lap needed to get into the top ten, but we'll see. Lewis Hamilton is coming out now with Nico already on track, Daniel Ricciardo is getting ready to come out.

Q2. We're back underway here at Abu Dhabi! a 15 minute session which will determine who will enter the final Qualifying top ten shootout of the season. Cars remain in garage as they're waiting for the track temperature to cool. Could see a lot of frantic laps coming in at the end. Who's going through? let's find out!

13:22. Will Stevens has improved this session, he ends Qualifying only half a second slower than Kobayashi, a great performance from the young Brit, in his first ever race weekend.

Q1. Chequered Flag! Romain Grosjean, Esteban Gutierrez, Pastor Maldonado, Kamui Kobayashi and Will Stevens are OUT. Grosjean has a twenty place penalty so will start from the back, due to him not being able to serve his full penalty, he'll have a drive through penalty tomorrow.

Q1. The McLaren's go third and fourth now, a real battle could ensue in Q3, we're into the last minute of the session, with Stevens, Kobayashi, Sutil, Gutierrez and Maldonado out currently, but Maldonado and Gutierrez on hot laps.

Q1. Red Bull's go third and fourth! over a second slower than Mercedes!

Q1. Red Bull now out to set their times, they're the only ones not t have set times yet. Vettel is 0.87 down after the second sector, is good enough for fourth at the moment.

Q1. Daniil Kvyat goes fourth! good display from the young Russian, Ferrari will be looking to improve on their instalation laps, Alonso is 14th, with Raikkomen 16th.

Q1. Nearly all the cars have set a time, by the looks of things the Mercedes powered cars are to dominate the top 10, with Jean-Eric Vergne in sixth being the highest non-Mercedes car in the standings so far, ten minutes to go!

Q1. Lewis Hamilton comes past and sets the fastest time! despite a little error from the Brit, he goes fastest with a 1:41.2, a tenth faster than Rosberg

Q1. Times starting to fly in! Nico Rosberg is the first of he title rivals to set a time, he sets a 1:41.3 as the Mercedes powered cars start to show their dominance.

Q1: And Perez sets a 1:43.8, Stevens comes past next and sets a 1:45.7, Kevin Magnussen is next with the fastest time so far.

Q1: Sergio Perez is to set the first flying lap, the Force India driver is on soft tyres and is making his way round the Yas Marina circuit.

Q1: And we're away! 18 minutes as Will Stevens of Caterham is first out! He is the 143rd British driver to ever race in Formula One!

12:55. This circuit is very interesting, on the Yas Island, its full of a bit of everything. A few long sweeping bends, a long straight, some little chicanes to hande, with a street circuit like end to the lap. All of this is done in the twilight, as the sun sets here in Abu Dhabi.

12:50. Remember of course you can get involved too! If you're on Twitter feel costless to tweet me at @AaronIrwin7, or tweet using the hashtag #VAVELF1.

12:45. 15 minutes til Q1! Who's going out first in Q1? over the season it's been Marussia (who aren't here), Caterham, and any of either a Lotus, a Sauber or in some cases a Force India or a Toro Rosso. Five out in Q1, five more in Q2, and then the top 10 shootout!

12:42. It's hard to choose who will race for McLaren next year, Jenson appears to be the logical choice, Button has scored almost double Magnussen's points and is more consistent. The thing Magnussen has is time on his side, he's only 22, whereas Jenson is 34.

12:36. Ron Dennis has been talking this week, and has said today that "no decision has been taken". It's still undecided as to whom will partner Fernando Alonso, who's set to join the team for next year.

12:33. Jules Bianchi this week came out of his artificial coma as he continues his recovery from his horror crash in Suzuka a couple of months ago. He's breathing unaided and has been transported to France to continue his recovery, the Frenchman is still in a critical condition but he's on the rad to recovery. #ForzaJules #TousAvecJules

12:30. Speaking of legendary teams, Brabham, the team which were in Formula One from the late fifties until the early nineties, have had their crowdfunding scheme target reached! Their goal is to eventually reach Formula One, baby steps lads!

12:27. It's such a nice team dynamic at Williams, the drivers are all in harmony and no arguments, it's fantastic to see one of Formula One's legendary teams back up where they belong.

12:23. It's been great ro see Williams back at the front of the grid. Felipe Massa and Valterri Bottas have performed well with the FW36 and look to seal third in the Constructors standings.

12:16. It's Sebastian Vettel's final weekend as a Red Bull driver. Seb is to join Ferrari next season after 38 wins and four world titles. Can he end his Red Bull tenure with a good result?

12:10. With the first two places being a seemingly foregone conclusion, the interesting battles will be in Q2 and Q3. Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, Force India, all the drivers there will be looking to Qualify well for te last race of the season.

12:06. Practice Three: Nico Rosberg managed to get ahead of Lewis Hamilton for the first time this weekend, he set  time that was nearly four tenths quicker than the Brit, with both drivers heading into the title showdown. Fernando Alonso only managed twenty minutes before coming in to allow the mechanics time to fix the car, he finished fourth. Will Stevens edged closer to team mate Kamui Kobayashi, albeit he's 0.9 seconds behind the Japanese driver.

12:03. Coming up is a quick recap of how this morning's Practice Three session went, just a warning, there's no real surprises as to how it turned out...

12:00. If Nico Rosberg wants to take his maiden title he needs to win with Lewis Hamilton finishing third or lower. However if Hamilton is to take title number two, he needs second should Rosberg win, as long as he's in the top five, he is Champion!

11:52. After an amazing season with thrills, spills, shocks and fallouts, we finally are at the resolution point. Whose going to take the inaugural, and probably only, double points race, and in effect the Championship?

11:49. We'd love to hear your thoughts on how you see the Qualifying going. Get in touch by either tweeting me at @AaronIrwin7 or by using the hashtag #VAVELF1.

11:45. The prize for the craziest rumour this week has to be the rumour regarding Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner. It was rumoured Ron Dennis was to sack Eric Boullier and bring in the Brit to run McLaren's pitwall. Why on Earth would Horner move from Red Bull?

11:41. The intriguing battle will be between Williams, Ferrari and Red Bull. Who will make it to Row Two? Williams have locked it out in the last wo aces in Austin and Brazil. But Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel will be eyeing it up. Also no one can rule out the Ferraris, particularly Fernando Alonso, whose Qualifying form has been impressive this season.

11:40. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg look set to lock out the ront row, but which one can get the final pole position? Nico Rosberg won the inaugural Pole Postion trophy, with his poles tally being unasailable by Lewis, but I'm sure the prize on offer tomorrow is more enticing to the German.

11:37. Onto Qualifying, the format will be that five cars are eliminated in Q1, another five are out in Q2, with the top 10 fighting it out in the final shoot out session that is Q3.

11:30. Now not all the seats for 2015 have been confirmed, with seats still available at McLaren (2), Force India, Toro Rosso and Caterham, if they make it o the grid next season. A lot of drivers are linked with all these seats, but nothing is confirmed, Toro Rosso is the only team who are yet to give a brighter indication of who their second driver will be.

11:33. Regardless of where Romain Grosjean qualifies today, he has a twenty place grid penalty to contend with. This is due to the rule implemented this season regarding engine changes, with every driver allocated five engine changes. If they require more, they're given a ten place penalty. Grosjean's is twenty however, as for every other component that needs changing, five extra places are added, and Grosjwan's Lotus needed a new engine, a new energy recovery system and a new turbocharger.

11:27. Stevens: 'The team wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the crowdfunding scheme, so we need to say a big thank you to them. Without them the team wouldn't be here. 'Obviously the drivers coming in need to come to a deal with the team, but I like to think my experience with the team counts for a lot.' He added.

11:25. Stevens reportedly paid £500,000 to race this weekend. For those who don't know who he is, Stevens was test driver for Caterham, he switched o Marussia at the Japanese Grand Prix and has come back to the Leafield team after getting his super licence approved this week. He thanked the contributors to the crowdfunding scheme this week.

11:22. Caterham made a welcome return to the Formula One fold after their controversial crowdfunding scheme meant they reached their target of £2.35million. The big question this week was who will drive alongside Kamui Kobayashi? as former driver Marcus Ericsson had his contract terminated as he joins Sauber for 2015. It was announced on Thursday that Will Stevens is to race for the backmarkers this weekend.

11:19. Formula One's worst kept secret was finally officially confirmed this week as Fernando Alonso was confirmed to be leaving Ferrari at the end of the season, with four time champion Sebastian Vettel replacing him at Maranello. Alonso leaves after five years with Ferrari, and will almost certainly join McLaren, with Daniil Kvyat of Toro Rosso replacing Vettel at Red Bull.

11:16. Button: 'will I wait for their decision? That's something I cannot comment on at the moment. 'I would hope that a result this weekend would not change my fate or my future, I feel that I bring a lot more to a team than one race and my career speaks a lot louder than one individual race.'

11:15. Jenson Button is preparing for what may be his final race as McLaren delay their decision until at least December 1st. It's expected Fernando Alonso is to join the Woking outfit to either partner Button or replace him, partnering Kevin Magnussen for 2015. This week it sounded like he may walk out on the team before they can make their decision.

11:13. Practice Two: Nico Rosberg managed to close the gap to Lewis, despite leading most of the session, Rosberg was pipped to the post and was 0.083 seconds behind Hamilton. Alonso completed two laps before his Ferrari grounded to a halt. Will Stevens is still struggling to get to grips with his Caterham and ended over a second slower than his team mate Kamui Kobayashi. Williams recover from poor P1 to go fifth and tenth.

11:10. Practice One: Lewis Hamilton goes fastest by just over a tenth of a second from Nico Rosberg. The Mercedes' were 1.7 seconds ahead of the next car, which was Ferrari's Fernando Alonso. Williams suffered a strange double problem, with both engine covers failing. Button plagued by suspension problem and ends the session 17th. There were three debutants with Esteban Ocon, Adderly Fong and Will Stevens, Lotus, Sauber and Caterham respectively. Stevens prepares for first ever race weekend.

11:06. Yesterday wasn't a surprise, Mercedes dominated the two Practice sessions, Coming up is a quick recap of both sessions, which resulted in pretty predictable results.

11:02. Of course tomorrow's race is what the press have dubbed 'Abu Double'. Yes the final race of the season will be decided by double points. So with 50 points for the victor, who will get the big prize, and win the 2014 World Championship?

11:00. With it all to play for, which Mercedes driver is going to take the title? Is it going to Nico Rosberg or Lewis Hamilton? Today we'll find out who will take the advantage going into tomorrow's race.

10:55. Good morning! and welcome to what is the final Qualifying of the season from Abu Dhabi! I'm Aaron Irwin, and I'll be here to give you updates as to who will take the final pole position of the season!
