So, Monza next, another track with tonnes of history, and two weeks to wait. Thanks for joining us here at VAVEL UK as Hamilton wins, but the winner of the day is Romain Grosjean, on a weekend with issues off track, the Frenchman gives the boys in Enstone stomething to cheer about. I've been Aaron Irwin, and a report is on it's way. See you in two week's time at Monza.

Spare a thought for Sebastian Vettel, who didn't put a foot wrong today, did well to recover from eighth on the grid but a tyre blow out robbed him of points this weekend.

Not the best Belgian Grand Prix we've ever seen. 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2008 all spring to mind, but this year was certainly no damp squib! What a race, and congratulations to Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Romain Grosjean for making the top three.

Hamilton: "It is way too early to be thinking about that." Coulthard asked him about whether he thought he was closing in on a third title.

Grosjean: "It has been an incredible weekend for us. "Every time I start at Spa I think about 2012, but it has made me stronger."

Rosberg: "Gave it absolutely everything, car was great so I'm grateful to the team. "Lewis did a great job."

Hamilton: "An amazing weekend. "Today was a dream, the car's fantastic. "Nico had good pace but I was able to answer most of the time. "Felt really under control."

Podium interviews: David Coulthard is conducting them with Hamilton first.

Rosberg seems like he's the new Barrichello to Hamilton's Schumacher circa 2002. Dominant team with one driver appearing to have the upper hand on the other.

Top Ten: Hamilton, Rosberg, Grosjean, Kvyat, Perez, Massa, Raikkonen, Verstappen, Bottas, Ericsson.

Hamilton wins his 39th career win, only two behind his hero Ayrton Senna.

After a weekend of worry for Lotus, with legal issues off track worrying them, a podium finish is a great way to end the weekend.

Grosjean runs to his team with pure jubilation on the face of every Lotus team member. He becomes only the seventh driver to finish on the podium this season, with both Mercedes', Williams' and Ferrari's placing there this season.

Grosjean's first podium since the US Grand Prix in 2013. "Top job Lewis" is said on the radio as the cars enter Parc Ferme.

Lewis Hamilton wins the Belgian Grand Prix! Rosberg second, Romain Grosjean, third place, what a race from the Lotus man!

43/43. Final lap here, Vettel is rapidly losing ground, a points finish is surely gone. Verstappen nearly runs into Massa into Les Combes, he loses the place to Raikkonen.

42/43. Hamilton leads by just over three seconds from Rosberg. Vettel's tyre blows out!!! His right rear blows out down the Kemmel straight and this means Grosjean will finish third!

41/43. Kvyat passes Perez for fifth! He gets ridiculous closing speeds on the Force India and passes down the Kemmel.

40/43. Grosjean within DRS range of Vettel! 0.5 seconds away could he pass him down the Kemmel? He can't but sticks to the back of Vettel's Ferrari.

39/43. Nice little four way fight for fifth to end the race. Perez is being followed by Massa, Kvyat and Raikkonen.

37/43. Rosberg slowly cutting down Hamilton's lead. Perez still in fifth following his stunning start to the race. Great ten points for the Force India team.

36/43. "Keep pushing Romain!" Grosjean told to push and he may catch Vettel in third. What a coup for Lotus it could be.

35/43. Sainz told to pit and turn off. He's two laps down still and the race appears to be a lost cause for the young Spaniard.

34/43. Approaching the final ten laps here, Hamilton continues to lead with Rosberg second and Vettel third.

33/43. Very quiet race here, not much on track action to speak of at the moment.

31/43. Hamilton well on the way to yet another win here. Would extend his lead to 28 points should Rosberg finish second. Only three retirements from the race with Ricciardo, Maldonado and Hulkenberg.

30/43. Alonso into 11th, more points for McLaren? Not bad for a driver with a 55 place grid penalty...

27/43. Kvyat pits and resumes in tenth. Perez moves up to fifth, a worthy place for the Force India.

25/43. Hamilton leads by 3.2 seconds from Rosberg. Grosjean in fourth could well get a podium today, don't rule it out.

24/43. McLaren slowly trundling on in 13th and 14th, the end looks possible for the MP4-30's.

23/43. Hamilton still in the lead, Rosberg second and Vettel third. Bottas finally on all the same tyre as he pits.

21/43. Ricciardo stops on the exit of the Bus Stop chicane. Yellow flag and virtual safety car out as he's parked in a dangeorus location. Lost the throttle in the chicane, he becomes the third retirement of the race, joining Maldonado and Hulkenberg on the retirements sheet.

19/43. Grosjean eyeing up Perez in third, the two stars of qualifying facing off here. Almost virtually the same move as when he passed Ricciardo, what a move from Grosjean!

18/43. Grosjean passes Ricciardo around the outside going into Le Combes, stunning move from the Frenchman.

17/43. Hamilton leads from Rosberg, Perez, Ricciardo and Grosjean. Rain possibly in the latter stages and that may shake up the order.

16/43. Bottas serves his penalty, mediums on the back and softs on the front. Huge error from a seasoned set of engineers.

14/43. Vettel leads, but is yet to stop, Hamilton right behind the four time champ, drive through penalty for Bottas for having incorrect tyres fitted. Passed the 300,000 km mark which is since F1 racing began at Silverstone in 1950.

13/43. Perez takes a look at Rosberg down the Kemmel straight, but goes wide into Les Combes, Nico keeps his place. Bottas is under investigation for having a mix of compounds on his car. Softs and mediums on his FW37.

12/43. Perez passes Ricciardo with the help of DRS. Rosberg pitting, not Hamilton? Usually road order dictates who is given the first pit stop. The German puts on the mediums.

11/43. Verstappen passes Nasr into the second Stabalo in what was a very gutsy move from the 17 year old. A star in the making indeed.

10/43. The soft tyre is the tyre of choice as multiple cars pit for softs. Grosjean is passing Bottas again down the Kemmel straight following pitting.

9/43. Perez pits, attempting an undercut on Rosberg? The Mexican puts on the soft compound tyre. Ricciardo past Perez as their undercut worked effectively. Kvyat goes wide into the Bus Stop and locks up, blistering his tyre and causing huge flat spots, pit stop inevitable.

8/43. Ricciardo pits, three stop strategy? However it's a bit early to pit, unless he's having issues with heat or wear in his tyres. Grosjean passes Bottas into Les Combes.

7/43. Ricciardo closing in on Perez, well within DRS range. Also Grosjean is the next driver to close in on Bottas, poor setup from the Williams team. Rosberg is slowly starting to get more pace.

6/43. Jenson Button appears to have an issue with his McLaren. A problem with the left rear is what he reports to the engineers. Kvyat passes Bottas down the Kemmel straight, something you wouldn't expect,  a Renault powered car passing a Mercedes powered car.

5/43. Hamilton breaking away from the group as Perez remains in second. Raikkonen passes Ericsson under DRS down the Kemmel straight.

4/43. Even when Maldonado does things right it ends badly, shame for Pastor. Meanwhile Sainz's issues continue as he limps round the circuit.

3/43. Sainz has rejoined the race, albeit a lap down. Verstappen lining up a move on Ericsson's Sauber in tenth. Button in 14th and Alonso in 13th, good job from the McLaren pair.

2/43. Bottas has lost out to Rosberg and Vettel into La Source and is now sixth. Maldonado appears to have an issue too, rotten luck for the Venezuelan.

Lap 1/43. We're underway in Belgium! Perez is up into the lead after a stunning start! Hamilton is passed under slipinto Les Combes. Hamilton re-overtakes though with Ricciardo third, Bottas fourth and Nico Rosberg in fifth. Great start here!

Cars back on grid again, Hulkenberg is out already and Sainz is told to pit. Two out?

Now Sainz has an issue too, dropping like flies and we've not even seen the green lights yet!

Another formation lap as there's an aborted start. Hulkenberg at fault as his car does indeed lose power. The tension builds!

Or not...engineers tell him not to pit, that could have been awkward! cars back on grid start incoming!

Nico Hulkenberg has been told to pit at the end of this lap. Is this the end of his race before it's even begun?

Formation lap is underway, the longest formation lap on the calendar.

With new start procedures to be implemented here, will it affect the action as the cars head into La Source?

Not long now until lights out, what can we expect from the race here?

Spa is one of the most exciting, famous and historic race circuits in the world. This is also one of the crown jewels of the sport, along with Monaco, Monza and Silverstone.

Williams had a good session as thought. With Spa being a track for straight line speed and power, Williams flourished and start third and sixth on the grid.

Sebastian Vettel has work to do from eighth on the grid, an error cost him a higher place on the grid. The four time world champion will be looking to score a top result to keep his faltering title challenge alive.

Rosberg won’t be too concerned about Hamilton’s speed. The German was fastest and dominant in Friday’s practice sessions. He may be quicker on race pace, all he has to do is stick within a second of Hamilton until lap three and DRS will become the German’s best friend.

With Mercedes starting 1-2 yet again, are we set to see a repeat of last season’s race? Rosberg started on pole and Hamilton passed him on lap one. Lap two saw Rosberg’s wing slice Hamilton’s tyre and damaged his race. Sparking the fight which was building up in the races before.

Meanwhile fellow Brit Jenson Button is talking about pace… or lack of it. He said “I was told P17 and a second behind the car in front, which was a massive surprise.” He added that he didn’t feel he “could have done any better.”

Hamilton wrapped up the Formula One pole position trophy here with 10 poles, however this won’t be the trophy he’s after. He said “really happy today with the performance of the car and so far this weekend, the performance of the team.”

The stars of qualifying yesterday were Romain Grosjean and Sergio Perez were the winners of the day, qualifying fourth and fifth respectively. However Grosjean will start ninth following a gearbox change.

Ferrari had a nightmare session in Belgium. Kimi Raikkonen  is the master of Spa with many race wins here. His car broke down and stuttered to a halt. The Finn humourously decided to state the obvious to the boys back in the pits. “Something’s broke!” exclaimed the 2007 World Champion as his Ferrari came to a halt.

McLaren have been handed a whopping 105 place grid penalty between their two drivers. With all of these not being able to be enforced, it’ll be interesting to see what the FIA do to the Woking team.

GRID: 1) Hamilton, 2) Rosberg, 3) Bottas, 4) Perez, 5) Ricciardo, 6) Massa, 7) Maldonado, 8) Vetter, 9) Grosjean, 10) Sainz,, Hulkenberg, 12) Kvyat, 13) Ericsson, 14) Raikkonen, 15) Nasr, 16) Stevens, 17) Merhi, 18) Verstappen, 19) Button, 20) Alonso.

Hamilton secured his sixth pole in a row yesterday as he kept out Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg by around half a second. The swing is 10-1 in qualifying in favour of the Brit.

Good afternoon and welcome to the live feed for VAVEL UK’s coverage of the Belgian Grand Prix, I’m Aaron Irwin and I’ll be taking you through lap by lap updates of the race from Spa-Francorchamps as Lewis Hamilton starts from pole.
