PSG were lucky to end their opening game of the 2014-15 campaign with a point, but they should have won the match comfortably in truth. The full-time score was 2-2 on a mild Friday night, and the defending champions will be hoping for a better display in-front of goal in the coming weeks and months.

Swedish striker and overall talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock after just seven-minutes, with a cool finish beyond the goalkeeper - before he missed a clear-cut chance from four yards out (hitting the post from a cut-back), and also missing a penalty in the space of the first 30 minutes. It was 1-0 to the Parisians, but they were trailing 2-1 at half-time thanks to shock goals from Prince Oniangue and Antoine Devaux

The away side were down and seeming surprised at the interval, with the likes of Lavezzi, Luiz, Cabaye and Matuidi all out of action due to being given rest ahead of the campaign. They kept up the pressure, and eventually got their reward thanks to another goal from Ibrahimovic, this time the ball was fumbled by the goalkeeper and Cavani kicked the ball just to make sure for good measure.

A tense finish, and the match ended up 2-2 in the end, despite PSG having dominated most of the chances and not taking them. It's not exactly the best sight you want from a team of Europe's elite, but hopefully they will find their cutting edge as the season continues on. Reims were well organised at the back, and unlike their opponents were clinical - it just shows that you can have all the shots in the world but if you don't score, you won't win.

A hard-fought draw for PSG, but it didn't need to be. An exciting opener to the Ligue 1 season, hopefully the campaign continues the same way.
