According to Dutch newspaper "De Telegraaf", Ajax are keen to offload 2nd choice goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer after falling behind Jasper Cillessen in the pecking order at Ajax. Despite former manager Frank De Boer saying a few months ago, "it's still fantastic to have the two best goalkeepers in the Netherlands at [my] disposal" , rumours are the club have now set an asking price of just €1 million for the Netherlands shot-stopper.

Both parties agreed it would be best for Vermeer's career if he moved elsewhere yet there has been no approach for the 28-year old, despite his agent claiming there has been alleged interest from a few teams.
