Utrecht managed an incredible win over Feyenoord, despite having just two shots on target throughout which both resulted in goals.

Before today's game everything seemed to be in Feyenoord's favour as their captain Jordy Clasie would be staying for the mean time as they still haven't agreed a fee with FC Porto for the midfielder.

It stills looks as if Clasie will be leaving this summer as they have found his replacement in the FC Utrecht midfielder Jens Toornstra who sat out today's match due to the fact the two teams involved in his imminent transfer were playing each other.

The first ten minutes of the match had both teams trying to settle down and find their rhythm, Feyenoord settled down well and had a couple of good oppurtunities early on to take the lead in Mathijsen who headed narrowly wide from a corner and Lex Immers went through and forced a save from Ruiter.

Feyenoord looked like they were going to score any second as they were creating great opportunities including Manu who got the ball in a great position in the twenty-second minute and managed to dribble past two Utrecht players but shot straight at Ruiter.

Another great opportunity shortly followed for Feyenoord as Clasie found a lot of space in front of him and decided to shoot from the edge of the box and it was straight at the keeper but the keeper couldn't hold in and the ball fell for Vilhena who dribbled past Ruiter who was lying on the ground and shot past him but Ayoud cleared the ball off the line.

Finally, though, in the 33rd minute Jordy Clasie took a costless kick from about 40 yards out quickly and found Mitchell te Verde who headed the ball over Ruiter to make it 1-0 to Feyenoord.

Utrecht were barely competing with Feyenoord and in the forty-third minute Schaken found space on the right hand side and put the ball into a dangerous area which the Utrecht defence should've dealt with, but the ball found Te Verde who headed it at Ruiter but then the rebound fell the Lex Immers who tried to find the bottom right hand corner and hit the post.

All the missed chances proved costly as in a rare Utrecht attack, Schken tried to hold off Oar but the Australian international out-muscled Schken. Oar had the ball in a great position to create a goalscoring opportunity and get an equaliser, he found Barazite with a simple pass across goal and he side footed the ball into the top corner to make it 1-1.

Half time: Feyenoord 1-1 FC Utrecht, Feyenoord with all the chances in the first half but only managed to score one goal. Utrecht will be extremely happy with the half time scoreline as they have managed to keep Feyenoord from scoring more than one despite all the chances created by the Rotterdam side. Utrecht would need to attack more if they want to win but will be happy they got one in a half where they only had one shot on target which was the Barazite goal.

Second half, Utrecht were much more comfortable in the game and made sure Feyenoord weren't having as many chances as they did first first half.

Utrecht substitution in 58th minute as the debutant Kallon went off for Antwi and in the sixty-fourth minute there was a double sub for Feyenoord. As Basacikoglu and Boetius came on for Manu and Schaken to get that breakthrough goal and win the match.

Boetius has a great chance to score in the box but doesn't want to use his left foot and puts it narrowly over the bar with his right foot.

Only a minute later, at the other end, at Antwi was put clean through by Oar with only Van Beek to try stop him but he couldn't, Antwi went through and scored his first ever professional goal. An incredible way to get your first ever professional goal, Utrecht had only won one of their last 18 away games.

Feyenoord needed to get a goal back to save some blushes as they were expected to win today, Nelom made a great run from left back after Boetius put him through and Nelom decided to cross but his cross couldn't quite reach Te Verde and it went out for a goal-kick.

The rest of the game had fairly few chances being created and Feyenoord couldn't get the goal they desperately needed.

Full time: Feyenoord 1-2 FC Utrecht, incredible result at De Kuip stadium, against all the odds Utrecht win, the only had two shots on target in the game and both went in. Utrecht hadn't won an away game since November 2013 until today and were without star man Toornstra who is on his way to the team who lost today Feyenoord.
