Ajax complete loan signing of Niki Zimling

Eredivisie club, Ajax, have signed Niki Zimling on a season-long loan with a purchase option, from Bundesliga side Mainz 05.

Ajax Amsterdam have completed the loan signing of 1.FSV Mainz 05 midfielder, Niki Zimling, with an option to buy.

The Danish international will join Ajax following the departure of Daley Blind to Premier League club, Manchester United.

Zimling has represented his country has represented his national team on 21 occasions, which included a 1-0 win over the Dutch national team.

The 28-year old joined the Bundesliga club just last season, following spells at Club Brugge and Udinese, which included a spell at N.E.C Nijmegen.

The midfielder featured 28 times for Mainz last season, as they finished 7th in the Bundesliga to qualify for the Europa League, despite their elimination in their playoff game for the group stages.
