Bekim Balaj's spectacular instinct for goal has left Fernando Santos' Portugal side in a rather sticky situation. The Albanian striker scored a wonderful volley to make history for his country, while causing distress in the other. Of course, it's only one game, but already Portugal are under immense pressure to beat Denmark on Tuesday.

Denmark have made a positive start to their qualifying campaign, albeit playing a game more than Portugal. The Danes beat Armenia in their opening game, but were lucky to get a draw against a clearly revitalised Albania, now on a high after their two games and indeed, top of the group, even if it is only on goal difference.

Portugal are without Fabio Coentrao after the Real Madrid left-back picked up a knee injury against Albania. There is a danger that Cristiano Ronaldo may not start, after he was pictured with an ice-pack on his knee after the friendly defeat to France at the weekend. However, chances are he should be able to play.

Denmark have a full squad to choose from and Morten Olsen will not hold back and will be prepared to pull out all the stops to beat this weakened Portugal side, clearly low on confidence at the moment.
