A real end to end type of game ended all square in Warsaw as Poland and Scotland shared four goals and the points.

It was a case of a thrilling start and finish to this Euro 2016 qualifier. The fast start being provided by two goals in the opening 20 minutes.

The hosts struck first in the 13th minute with a goal out of nothing. Alan Hutton took a sloppy touch on the edge of his own box under no pressure and presented the ball to midfielder, Krzysztof Mączyński who fired right footed first time into the net with the aid of Andy Marshall's left post.

Just five minutes later though and Scotland were level through a fine team effort. Steven Fletcher played a great lofted ball from right to left for Ikechi Anya in the box who quickly pulled the ball back to the penalty spot where Shaun Maloney sidefooted first time with his right foot into the bottom right corner.

After a lacklustre remainder of the first period, the start of the second half got things going again with Poland missing a glorious chance in the 47th minute. Karmon Gilk knocked a right wing corner back across goal for striker Milik who fired over from just 7 yards out with his right foot.

Ten minutes later though and it was Scotland's turn to be in front. A James Morrison right footed costless kick from the left was allowed to drop at the back post and Steven Naismith ghosted in ahead of Lukas Piszczeck to apply just enough contact with his right foot to guide the ball past Wojech Sczecezney.

It took a while but Poland came back stronger than ever after going behind which culminated in the last 15 minutes of the game. With a quarter of an hour left they equalized through Milik who fired a fierce left foot shot across goal first time from that side of the box into Marshall's top left corner after he'd been played in by full back Jędrzejczyk.

The hosts then had two great chances to win it with star man Robert Lewandowski, who cut in to the box from the left and unleashed a powerful right foot effort across the goal which Marshall saved well and high to his left. Then with five minutes left winger Grosicki, was played in by influential sub Milla down the middle where he hit left footed off the near post.

Could have gone either way this one as both sides will be disappointed not to have won. However, both can be relieved they did not lose with Scotland being the slightly more happy side being away from home in a hostile atmosphere.
