Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne travel to Milan to take on Inter on Thursday evening, in the 2014/15 Europa League. Both sides have gone in opposite trajectories in this year’s group stage as Inter has not allowed a goal, while winning their first two matches. While on the other hand, the French side have also not let in a goal, but have not scored either, so thusly, sit in second place in the group on two points.

“We need to carry on playing the way we did against Napoli. I want to see the same tactical and mental approach we showed then. I’m totally focused on the next game, as I always am. I don’t have time to think about other things. I’m trying to get the best out of the players I have to work with,” said Mazzarri in his press conference.

For Saint Etienne, central defender Pogba return to the squad while Clerc and Erding are out injured. But they will be looking to turn their poor form around tomorrow evening in Italy as they look to get back on track and put a foothold into qualifying for the next round with a good performance against the Italian side. It will not be easy.

Inter got off to a flying start in Serie A this campaign but have fallen a bit of late and as a result, are currently sitting in 9th in the table. With matches against Cesena, Sampdoria, Parma, and Hellas Verona upcoming, it would not be a surprise if they do end up winning their next four which will give them a whole lot of confidence going forward in the Europa League. But they will have to get by the pesky French side Thursday evening first and foremost and their fans will be expecting to continue their dominating ways in the group stage and build a gap even further in the table.
