Feyenoord v Dordrecht

This week, in-form Dutch giants Feyenoord host Dordrecht, the side currently showing the worst form in the league. Dordrecht sit at the bottom of the table and have lost 6 of their last 6 Eredivisie clashes. Feyenoord have taken full advantage of a fairly mild fixture list, only dropping 2 points from their last 6 games. With all things considered, and Dordrecht only winning one game all season, it’s looking as if Feyenoord will take an easy three points from a considerably weaker opposition. We all love an upset, where the underdog tackles the big-boys, but realistically, Dordrecht will be lucky to escape the weekend without a thrashing by a side that looks unbeatable at the moment.

Prediction: Feyenoord 4-0 Dordrecht

Ajax v Heerenveen

7th placed team SC Heerenveen travel to the colossal Amsterdam Arena on Saturday where they’ll test their luck against the current Eredivisie champions, Ajax. The home side have also displayed impressive form recently after their below average start to the campaign, and will look to close the 4-point-gap on league-leaders PSV. To do so, they’ll have to be at their best to defeat an organised Heerenveen side. Heerenveen youngster Daley Sinkgraven will look to impress against Ajax tomorrow, as the Dutchman is linked with a move to Amsterdam, which may take place during the next transfer window. Despite the home side having a considerably stronger outfit in comparison, taking 3 points will never be easy against a balanced opposition.

Prediction: Ajax 3-1 Heerenveen

Groningen v PSV

A struggling Groningen side host league-leaders PSV on Sunday, and managing to take anything from the current best side in Holland seems an impossible task. The home side have dropped to 10th in the league, and are yet to settle into this year’s season. Their form has been shaky, giving a sense of unpredictability to the squad. PSV, however, have been nothing but predictable recently. A near flawless season so far sees them sit confidently at the head of the table, showing no signs of moving anytime soon. Their game on Sunday is a tough away fixture, but there’s very little chance of a PSV slip-up due to their knack of putting games to bed by firing in 4 or 5 goals before the opposition have a chance to wake up.

Prediction: Groningen 2-4 PSV
