Following the shock departures of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur last night, as well as Celtic as they were beaten by Italian side Inter Milan, the official UEFA Europa League Last 16 fixtures were drawn earlier this afternoon.

Premier League club Everton, who are the only British side left in the competition, have been drawn up against Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev. This is as a result of a rather comfortable and dominant display over two legs against Swiss side Young Boys; who they beat 7-2 on aggregate.

This will be an intriguing tie, given the fact that they have never previously met in a competitive fixture before. Manager Roberto Martinez had this to say: "It's a draw that we're very excited about. Dynamo Kiev are unbeaten in their domestic league - they are top ahead of teams that we know well and are very strong in Europe like Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro. They've got well-known players like Andriy Yarmolenko, Jermain Lens, Younes Belhanda, and they play in a phenomenal ground.

On the subject of having to travel: "We're playing at Goodison the first leg and we'll take every step as it comes and wait for instructions. You always prefer to play at home in the second leg and unfortunately that's not the case but there's nothing we can do.

Elsewhere, the current holders Sevilla are up in for a tough test against Spanish compatriots Villarreal; German side Wolfsburg host Inter Milan and a full Serie A tie is up on show as Tottenham's conquerors Fiorentina and Roma have been drawn against each other.

The ties are set to be played on the 12th and 19th of March, with the fixtures in full as follows:

Everton - Dynamo Kiev

Dnipro - Ajax

Zenit St. Petersburg - Torino

Wolfsburg - Inter Milan

Villarreal - Sevilla

Napoli - Dinamo Moscow

Club Brugge - Besiktas

Fiorentina - Roma
