The Netherlands and Turkey have both made disappointing starts in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group A, with ground to make up as they meet for an 11th time at the Amsterdam Arena. Holland are looking to maintain a positive run of results against Turkey as the sides meet for the first time in UEFA European Championship game, with both sides off the pace in Group A. The hosts have won both of their Group A home games to date but have lost both of their away fixtures, leaving them six points adrift of group leaders Czech Republic, as they are currently in the play-off spot in their group.

Under new manager Guus Hiddink; who replaced former World Cup manager and current Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, Hiddink's men have had quite a lacklustre run of results, winning and losing twice each.

With just four points from their opening four matches, Turkey are a further two points off the pace. Having won once, drawn once and lost twice, a huge win for the Turks would be an amazing result as they look to qualify for their first European Championship since 2008.

Both teams were victorious in their most recent qualification outings, with Hiddink's Oranje claiming a 6-0 win over minnows Latvia, while Fatih Terim's side defeated Kazakhstan 3-1 back in November. Hiddink will be without the services of established trio Robin van PersieArjen Robben and Ron Vlaar for this weekend's fixture, leaving Holland with a youthful crop of healthy stars such as PSV startlet Memphis Depay and VfL Wolfsburg's goal-scoring sensation Bas Dost, who is expected to make his international debut as well experienced players such as Wesley SneijderKlaas-Jan Huntelaar, and Nigel de Jong

Turkey, meanwhile, will have to make do without star winger Arda Turan, who serves a one-match suspension after being booked for simulation against Kazakhstan. Bayer Leverkusen starlet Hakan Calhanoglu is also back in the Turkey squad following a bizarre controversial incident with team-mate Gokhan Tore.

"Arda is a key player in the team, he is going to be a big miss for us but I still believe we can win." - Turkey striker Burak Yilmaz

''It will be a battle because I am referring more to the intensity of the game. In this game, values as dominant and the beautiful game will also come to the surface." - Guus Hiddink
