After Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-2 win against rivals Olympique Marseille, there was some negatives to come out of the crucial away win.

As well as the team bus being attacked by Marseille Ultras, Laurent Blanc was also dealt two injury blows coming in the form of David Luiz and Thiago Motta.

As a result, the duo are now a doubt for their Champions League knockout with FC Barcelona.

Firstly, Luiz was forced off during their win on Sunday after struggling with his left thigh after just half an hour, as he hobbled off he crunched his left thigh.

Motta suffered from the same problem and he was forced off in the latter stages of the game.

Luiz and Motta both underwent further medical examination on Monday, they were put in place to determine how long they will be sidelined for, with the first leg of their last-eight tie with Barca coming up on April 15.

"They're muscle problems, which is not very reassuring," PSG coach Laurent Blanc said.

"Those injuries can be explained by many things. I think the scheduling of this game was not the best of ideas. It would have been better before the international break.

"We got our full squad back on Friday. It was the same for the Marseille coach. So people should not be surprised to have injuries. You have to think about players and those involved before thinking of anything else."
