Brazil will be seeking revenge for their 2011 loss to Paraguay when the sides meet in the Copa America quarter finals on Sunday morning, with a place in the semi final versus Argentina at stake.

Form guide: Brazil

With two wins and a loss, Brazil ousted Colombia to top Group C, despite being beaten by Los Cafeteros.

Starting with a 2-1 victory over Peru, Brazil were made to work hard for the three points and required a last minute goal to win. Neymar's header cancelled out Christan Cueva's opener, and it was Neymar who assisted the winning goal, setting up Douglas Costa to win the game.

Next up came the challenge of an out of form Colombia, who beat Brazil 1-0 thanks to some resilient defending. Time and time again the Selecao were frustrated, with Jeison Murillo's header making the difference. The game was marred by late antics, as Neymar was sent off and subsequently banned for the remainder of the tournament, for attempting to headbut Murillo after the final whistle.

Needing a win to ensure progression, Venezuela were their opponents in the final group game. Without Neymar, Brazil produced their most complete performance of the tournament so far. Winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Thiago Silva and Roberto Firmino, coach Dunga will have been delighted with their play, as they controlled the game from start to finish.

Form guide: Paraguay

Drawing twice and winning just once in their group, Paraguay qualified with five points, but things could have been very different.

Argentina presented their first challenge, and it was one that they didn't look like matching up to, as Lionel Messi and co raced into a 2-0 lead. However, Nelson Haedo Valdez's long ranger cut the defecit to one, allowing Argentinian born Lucas Barrios to slam in a last minute equaliser, as the game finished 2-2.

Next up was Jamaica, a game that Paraguay were expected to win easily. They did pick up the three points, but not without being given a fright first. It was Edgar Benitez's goal that clinched a 1-0 win, after Jamaican goalkeeper Duwayne Kerr's clearance found it's way to the striker.

A 1-1 draw with Uruguay was enough to put them through in their last game, as both teams went through. Jose Gimenez opened the scoring for the defending champions, before Barrios scored his second of the tournament to equalise.

Comments:

Brazil coach Dunga has commented on Paraguay, saying "I think Paraguay are a strong team", noting that this could be because they have "a very tactical coach".

When asked about the absence of Neymar, Dunga said that his team "had to find a solution" and they "always work hard to make sure the team doesn't rely on one player".

Paraguay coach Ramon Diaz believes that his side are "in a good moment," however conceded that "it will be a hard, intense game".

He told of how his side "have had a relaxed week to work on everything" and this makes them "confident of playing a great match".
