Croatia coach Ante Cacic has announced his provisional 27-man squad ahead of this summer's Euro 2016 tournament.
Missing out
The biggest omission from Cacic's squad is Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren who will have to watch his country take on Turkey, Czech Republic and Spain at home.
Lovren and Cacic fell out back in March during the 1-1 draw with Hungary as the defender stopped warming up after he learned that he wouldn't taking part in the friendly.
At his press conference on Monday, Cacic said that players chosen were the "best players we have at our disposal" and that playing for the national side requires "good form"and "total commitment at club and international level."
Sasic continued saying that he hadn't "closed the door on Lovren for good" and that he can "return one day" if the defender realises he has to be a "team player" and that when it "dawns on him" that he can't look down on his "team mates, the staff and the coach" then he could return.
Croatia will play Moldova at Gradski Stadion, Koprivnica on Friday, May 27 with kick-off at 7:30pm BST.
