The final round of fixtures in Group F in the European Championships get underway on Wednesday evening with Hungary facing Portugal in Lyon.

Both teams head into this game with a chance of making the last 16 and whoever wins the game is likely to top the group. Hungary go into the game sitting top of the group already on four points while Portugal go into the game on two points from two games.

Depending on the result of this game plus the other final game in the group between Iceland and Austria, either team could finish top of the group or bottom of the group.

Previous games

Hungary have been the surprise package in the group and they go into this match with Portugal sitting in a good position to qualify.

In their first game in the group, they came up against Austria, in a game not many people gave them a chance to get anything from but they came out on top winning the game 2-0.

In their second game, they came up against Iceland who took the lead just before half-time but a late own goal gave Hungary a crucial point which has seen them on the brink of qualification to the last 16.

Portugal, on the other hand, have struggled in their first two games as they could only draw both. In their first game, they came up against Iceland and went ahead when Luis Nani scored but they conceded in the second half.

In their second game, they came up against Austria and were left to rue a number of missed chances as they were held to a goalless draw. During the game, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty as he was unable to inspire his team to a must needed victory.

Team News

Hungary coach Bernd Storck will be without defender Attila Fiola for the game against Portugal but apart from that there are no new injury concerns or suspensions.

The only questions for Storck will be what kind of formation he chooses to use for the game as he might go back to the 4-1-4-1 formation he had used in the first game rather than the 4-3-3 formation he used against Iceland.

Fernando Santos has no new injury concerns to worry about before the game with Danilo set to be fit for the game after missing the game against Iceland with a back injury.

Santos though has some decisions to make in the forward areas after seeing his side miss so many chances in the previous two games and he knows his team must win this game or risk going home.

Key Players

Zoltan Gera is the key player in the Hungary side as his experience will help all of the other players in the team. Gera has played in many high pressure games before during his long career so far and he will be key especially when he plays in the defensive midfield position as it will be job to break down the Portugal attacks.

The key player no doubt in the Portugal team is Ronaldo. The superstar may have struggled in the previous two games and not looked his usual self but at any minute he can produce a moment of quality. Ronaldo will want to leave his mark on this competition so everyone is just waiting for the moment that he does this and when he does the opposition are in for a rough time.

Likely Hungary line-up: Kiraly; Kadar, Guzmics, Juhasz, Lang; Gera, Nagy; Dzsudzsak, Kleinheisser, Nemeth; Szalai.

Likely Portugal line-up: Rui Patricio; Vieirinha, Pepe, Carvalho, Guerreiro; Gomes, Moutinho, Carvalho, Quaresma; Nani, Ronaldo.
