According to the Sun, Josep Guardiola's first signing since officially entering the Bayern job will be to sign a centre-half partner for Dante from one of only three sides to beat the European Champions in 2012-13 (although admittedly not on aggregate).

Laurent Koscielny's performances for Arsenal this year have lead to him holding down a regular place in the starting squad and helped Arsenal to the best away defensive record in the Premier League. His form in the two games against Bayern must also have impressed the hierarchy at the Allianz Arena.

The potential £15m target is apparently aware of the interest and has talked about it with the rest of the Arsenal squad according to an Arsenal insider's comments to the newspaper. The same insider stated:

"It's worrying because it's a very attractive option for him to sign for the Champions League winners."

It would be an equally attractive option for Bayern Munich to bring him in. Not only would he add depth but he would allow current centre-half Jerome Boateng to spend more time at Full-Back, where he is considered a vastly better player than he is at centre-half
