According to Bild, Croatian international Ivica Olić will play out one more year in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg before potentially seeking a move to the USA or Dubai next summer.

The 33-year-old, whose CV boasts Hertha Berlin, Hamburg, CSKA Moscow and Bayern Munich as former employers, told Bild "this is probably my last year in Bundesliga...if my body allows it then perhaps I will play on for a year in the USA or Dubai". He notched nine goals in 32 appearances for Wolfsburg in the 2012-13 season, and has proven over the years that he is a guaranteed goalscorer, having hit the back of the net 202 times in 480 senior appearances thus far in his career. He also has a knack for performing when it really matters, with his former Croatia boss, Slaven Bilic, describing him as the "king of important matches".

The news of interest in a move stateside next summer may set American teams on red alert as they seek to lure foreign talent to the MLS. The signing of such an accomplished goalscorer would be seen as something of a coup and the commercial benefits (primarily through merchandising) of such a move would be sizeable to whoever secures his signature.
