Whilst speaking to Der Welt, new Borussia Dortmund forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has stated that he signed for the club because they suited his style of play: "When I heard that BVB were interested, I knew that I had to sign. I am excited about being part of a team who have came on leaps and bounds over the past number of years.

The Dortmund style of play suits me perfectly. I thought I'd fit in here and that's why I joined. BVB switch quickly from defence to attack and I'm a fast counterattack player. I think that I can contribute well here."

The 24 year old also made he and his new club's goals for the upcoming 2013/14 Bundesliga season explicit during his interview: "Our dream is to be German champions."

"Bayern Munich are a great team and have a lot of great player; but they are beatable, as we showed in the Super Cup."

"However, Bayern are still the best team in, not just Germany, but the whole of Europe."

Aubameyang played for French club, St Etienne. Last season he scored 19 goals and set-up 14 goals last season, he ended as the Ligue 1's second-highest scorer.
