Welcome to my Bundesliga Team of the Month.  This month’s team has been selected using the best performers from games played between and 18th October and 10th November.

Here are the men who made the biggest impression:

GK – Daniel Davari (Braunschweig) 25 years old
When you play for a relegation threatened club you are going to have plenty to do and Davari has been busy.  He did concede 5 in his first 2 games this month but followed it up with 2 impressive clean sheets.

RB – Patrick Ochs (Wolfsburg) 29 years old
Wolfsburg were excellent this month and Ochs returning to the line up has undoubtedly played a part in that.  He has only made 4 appearances this year and Wolfsburg have won all 4 of those games which will provide the manager with a headache when Christian Trasch is fit again.

LB – Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg) 21 years old
This has been a good month for Wolfsburg full backs as Rodriguez joins his team mate in this month’s team.  He has been solid defensively and has also shown his quality in attack with a goal and an assist.

CB – Naldo (Wolfsburg) 31 years old
Naldo is a player I had high hopes for but he has never hit the heights his early promise suggested he would.  He has been in good form though and like many other Brazilians around Europe he would love to break into the World Cup squad for next year.

CB – Robin Knoche (Wolfsburg) 21 years old
Knoche completes the set of four Wolfsburg defenders in my back four and deservedly so.  At just 21 years old he is showing all the promise of a future international centre back and if he continues to develop it’s only a matter of time before he gets the call up.

RM – Sidney Sam (Bayer Leverkusen) 25 years old
Sam has had another good month and retains his place in the team from last month.  He had a goal and an assist last month.  He is currently away with the national team and he will be hoping to keep up his good form in order to secure a spot in what looks like an excellent German squad for next summer’s World Cup.

LM – Julian Draxler (Schalke 04) 20 years old
Schalke have an excellent record of producing young players and Draxler is the latest superstar to come through the club.  He has already been capped for Germany and I’ve no doubt there will be a queue of top clubs looking to sign him in the near future.

CM – Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg) 26 years old
Gustavo had a rough start at Wolfsburg after his move from Bayern Munich and was sent off in his second and third games for the club.  He took time to get up to speed but he looks to be settled now and was excellent this month, even getting a goal against Augsburg.

CM – Gonzalo Castro (Bayer Leverkusen) 26 years old
Castro has been in great form for Leverkusen this month, scoring a goal and assisting on 3.  He has been capped for Germany before but doesn’t seem to be in the current plans but if he keeps up this form he might force a rethink.

CF – Adrian Ramos (Hertha Berlin) 27 years old
Ramos has been on top of his game this month, getting 4 goals and 2 assists.  Hertha have done reasonably well so far and much of that is down to his form in front of goal.

CF – Max Kruse (Borussia Monchengladbach) 25 years old
Kruse is making a great case for himself to lead the line for Germany next summer.  He is a top class striker and he has retained his place from last month with more good performances.  This month he added 2 goals and an assist to his tally as Monchengladbach continued their good form.
