German national news provider ‘BILD’ has recently released that Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has endorsed a five year pre-contract agreement with rivals FC Bayern München. There had been amid rumours over the last few weeks that Lewandowski would eventually sign and of course there had been astronomical reports about the player even departuring in the previous summer but Borussia Dortmund managed to keep hold of him.

But the writing was certainly on the wall today as ‘BILD’ emancipated this title on their website, ‘Lewandowski Unterschreibt Für 5 Jahre’. It has been mentioned that Robert Lewandowski has travelled from Warsaw to München today to complete his medical and if all goes well the contract he has agreed will be until 2019. He will start this agreement in the summer, as he will see the remainder of his contract out with Borussia Dortmund.

This campaign Robert Lewandowski has played 1463 minutes on the pitch scoring eleven goals in the Bundesliga. He has created 106 chances and gained five assists for his colleagues. He is truly an influential player for his team and massive positive for FC Bayern München, as their team and squad just seem to be getting stronger. A great acquisition by Pep Guardiola and it almost certain that the Polish man will be counting down the days until he can officially leave the Signal Iduna Park.

This is another massive blow for Borussia Dortmund as they have lost another important player to their main rivals with Mario Götze leaving last summer to the Bavarians. Jürgen Klopp will have to replace the striker in the summer and it makes you think that selling him before the season and receiving money for him now seems like a better idea. Borussia Dortmund have to close the gap that is growing month by month between themselves and München. Can they close the gap?
