The future of Hoffenheim captain, Andreas Beck, is uncertain. His current contract expires at the summer and due to prolonged negotiations after 5 years at the club, he may leave at the end of the season.

"This is all hypothetical. I'm in current talks about an extension, that is a fact. I would not talk about details, and i don't think about deadlines yet" said the defender to "Kicker".

He added that "he is at an age where im hungry and I want success. Of course the next deal must have economical improvements, but also should fit the club and their policy"

He also urged the team to improve the team and the squad "piece by piece", saying that the path with young and decent players is a good one, but the improvement is necessary to take a leap of quality moving forward.

Beck spoke of the need to improve upon recent results, with Hoffenheim lying 12th at the current table, with 17 games played. "There's definitely much to go. Let's see what happens, but the most important thing is that we play football, so we should offer an spectacle.

The defender has been at the club since 2008, playing 184 games, and has been capped nine times with the German national team.
