After The Sun & The Daily Mirror had printed stories following the Bayern game in mid-week, referring to Bastian Schweinsteiger as a ‘schwein’. The two papers have been banned from Allianz Arena for next week’s return leg. Bayern Munich said the decision was made after "disrespectful, discriminatory & personally insulting comments" towards Schweinsteiger.

The Bavarians will also be without Diego Contento. The defender picked up an injury to a ligament on the outside of his left ankle and is currently in a cast as precaution. He is expected to resume training on Monday, but well bandaged up.
