Bayern went on the march for the fourth goal and stop any chance of a remarkable comeback from Kaiserslautern, Mario Götze shot wide of Sippel’s goal. With twelve minutes remaining, Mario Götze spotted the run of Mario Mandzukic on the right and his run ended with a goal into the side netting, adding to their tremendous goals tally in all competitions this season.

Into stoppage time in the semi final of the DFB Pokal, Mario Gotze’s first shot blocked fell to Franck Ribery who back heeled it into the path of Gotze sliding the ball past the on rushing goalkeeper. The rout was completed Bayern Munich 5-1 FC Kaiserslautern.

This expected win for Bayern takes them into the final of the DFB Pokal, it will be the third year in a row Bayern Munich will be at the Olympiastadion playing for the DFB Pokal trophy and will face Borussia Dortmund in the final looking for their second treble. Last meeting between the two in the DFB Pokal final finished 5-2 to Borussia Dortmund in 2012.

A good run from FC Kaiserslautern, they done their fans and club proud. They earned the name of giant killers by beating two 1.Bundesliga sides on their run to the Semi Final.
