German newspaper Bild today reported that outgoing Werder Bremen cult hero Aaron Hunt is hooked on a summer move to Turkey. A Bremen youth academy graduate, Hunt has made it well documented that he will not be staying with Werder Bremen for another year and that he is looking at his options.

Hunt told Bild that "The overseas continues to be very likely."

Besiktas are one of many clubs vying for his signature and other admirers include Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur

Hunt has spent ten years in the green of Bremen and this Saturday will be his last hurrah in front of home fans against Hertha Berlin at the WeserStadion before finally bowing out against Bayer Leverkusen in the final game of the season.

His manager Robin Dutt said in an interview with the Bundesliga that "It's going to be a very emotional occasion for Aaron, I've got to know him as a sensitive person."

Besiktas board member Erdal Torrunogallari  says Hunt and the club are close to agreeing terms but nothing is final as of yet. Torrunogallari went on to say "Hunt is the kind of player who will do well at Besiktas, Hunt wants to be here and due to his wife being Turkish he will be able to register as a domestic player"
Hunt' ex-Werder teammate Hugo Almeida is among some of the players Hunt may link up with if any move is to materialise to the Istanbul based club.

The Turkish Football Federation restricts every club within the league to a maximum of ten foreign players and six non-Turkish players for any squad selection for league fixtures.

The twenty-seven year old has been ever present for Die Grün-Weißen side appearing in all but three of the thirty-two games played to date, scoring five and assisting the same number.

Although nothing has been confirmed, Hunt will be going places and will be a welcomed acquisition wherever he commits to for the near future and will be a sorely missed face in the midfield of Werder and the Bundesliga alike.
