This morning, Werder Bremen announced the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina international midfielder Izet Harjovic on a four-year deal. The 22-year old will join the team at their training camp in Zillertal on 19th July.

Sporting director, Thomas Eichin, told the clubs website: "We are very happy that he's coming to us. We are certain that he will quickly be intergrated into the team and develop." Manager, Robin Dutt added: "He is the additional option on offense that we wanted. He is fast, strong with the ball and very good dribbling in one-on-one situations."

The midfielder spent last season at Galatasaray SK, whilst previously having a spell at Grashoppers Zurich, where he make the jump to the professional side. Harjovic started in two out of three group games at the World Cup.

Elsewhere, Juan Bernat has started his pre-season at new club, Bayern Munich. The Spaniard joined Bayern from Valencia for €10 million.

"Bayern gave me the opportunity to come here. I didn't need long to think about it," At Bernat's unveiling, he was said to be "slightly nervous," although he was looking forward to playing for "one of the biggest clubs in the world, a title-winning club. I'm very happy to be here," Bernat told the clubs website.

Matthias Sammer has said that David Alaba will not be ousted out of the Bayern team, and they will find a way to accommodate the players. Sporting director Sammer reiterated: "not just a back-up for the left flank."

Bayern Munich have also waved goodbye to their Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic who has joined Spanish champions Atletico Madrid for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year old has signed a four-year contract at the club and will replace Atletico's top scorer last season, Diego Coasta. Mandzukic scored 33 goals in 54 Bundesliga appearances for the German club after he joined them from Wolfsburg in 2012.

"We wish to thank Mario for two fantastic seasons here in Munich," said deputy chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen. "In Mario's time with us, the club won seven trophies and his goals were often decisive. We wish him all the very best both professionally and personally at his new club."

In brief, Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has submitted a €21.5 million offer for Schalke 04's Julian Draxler. The 20-year is currently with the national team as they prepare for the World Cup final.

As previously reported, Roy Beerens is set to complete his move to the capital, signing for Hertha Berlin. Beerens flew into Berlin to finalise the details of his contract following €1.5 million move.

According to Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are chasing German international Christoph Kramer. Napoli are willing to pay up to €8 million for him, however the German has expressed his desire to stay at Borussia Mönchengladbach, while following the coming season, he will return to Bayer Leverkusen.
