Champions Bayern Munich travelled to Duisburg this evening where Robert Lewandowski would make his debut, and Holger Badstuber returned to the starting line-up as team captain.

The first chance fell to the away side however it was Duisburg keeper Michael Ratajcak who denied the Bundesliga champions. The first chance for the home team fell to Zlatko Janjic after 18 minutes but fired wide from close range. The game went in to half-time at 0-0 with neither team able to create an opening.

Pep Guardiola made two changes at the start of the second-half. On came Michael Eberlein and Eddy Schwarz for Lukas Scholl and Alexander Sieghart. 22-year old Phillip Steinhart then replaced Diego Contento after 54 minutes. It was Lewandowski who broke the deadlock after 62 minutes, scoring his first goal in Bayern Munich colours, after latching on to a pass from Rafinha. Bayern's lead didn't last long after Fabian Schnellhardt didn't give Tom Starke a chance, bending the ball around the stricken goalkeeper.

The game finished in a 1-1 draw and new signing Juan Bernat was again on show for FCB, along with youth player Pierre-Emil Hojberg, who impressed.

Greuther Fürth played Russian team Lokomotiv Moscow during their training camp in Oberwang, Austria. The 2. Bundesliga club kept firm in the first half, going into the half-time break at a 0-0 stalemate. Robert Zulj had the first chance for Fürth but his effort was parried wide. Despite a lack of chances from either side, Fürth looked more comfortable on the ball.

Fürth came out for the second half the better side. Tom Weilandt came off the bench to put Fürth 1-0 up after 47 minutes. The midfielder danced his way through the Russian defence before unleashing a shot that found its way in to the net. Goran Sukalo doubled Fürth's lead from the penalty spot after Marco Stiepermann was brought down in the box.

FC Augsburg travelled 50 miles West this evening to face SSV Ulm in a charity match. The home side were the more dominant team in the opening stages of the game at a wet Donaustadion. Dennis Werner put Ulm ahead after 33 minutes before Augsburg came back fighting scoring two goals in the closing minutes of the first-half. Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker got Augsburg's equaliser on the 43rd minute whilst experienced Turkish international Halil Altintop put the away side ahead on the stroke of half-time.

Ulm equalised 21 minutes in to the second half with Serda Ozkaya getting on the scoresheet and it was then Bastian Heidecker who just nine minutes later, put the home side in the lead. Heartache for Ulm though, who showed determination and commitment against a Bundesliga club as new signing, Shawn Parker scored a late equaliser for Augsburg in stoppage time.
