Hamburg are making a move to sign Tottenham target Valon Behrami, after the Switzerland international has reportedly fallen out with Napoli manager Rafael Benitez.

Behrami, 29, made just 16 starts for Napoli last season and is said to have grown tired of waiting for regular first team football.

German news outlet BILD have reported that HSV have submitted a €4.5 million bid for the midfielder.

Napoli are looking to sell the Swiss international to makeweight for potential suitor, Brazilian Sandro, from Tottenham Hotspur.

Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also rumoured to be interested in the Napoli midfielder and are keeping a close eye on developments.

However, Behrami could be tempted with a move back to London with Tottenham after spending three-years in the England capital with West Ham United, making 58 appearances.

Hamburg have lost Tomas Rincon, Robert Tesche and most noticeably Hakan Calhanoglu who all featured in midfield for HSV last season and will turn to Behrami to fill the void.
