Marco Rojas will spend the 2014/15 season on loan to 2.Bundesliga outfit Greuther Furth after completing a loan switch from Stuttgart.

The 22 year old Kiwi, who can play as a striker or a winger, has made 16 appearances for his national side, scoring once, but has failed to establish himself a starting berth at Stuttgart as of yet, breaking his metatarsal in his first training session. Since then, Rojas has managed to almost perfect his German language skills. Nicknamed "The New Zealand Messi", it's easy to see where comparisons can be drawn between the two.

Furth President Helmut Hack said "We have long been thought about what type of striker we need to complement our attack. Marco is very fast, agile and a goal threat. We are noew even more variable in our ways."

Furth coach Frank Kramer also spoke "I wanted to once again get a feel for Marco. He has, physically, made a very solid impression. He is lively, fast and score goals. The VfB has worked well with himWe are not dreamers and know that Rojas has not yet been demonstrated to the Bundesliga his class. But the boy has enormous potential."

From 2009 to 2013, he played for Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory in the Australian A-League. There he was awarded the 2013 "Johnny Warren Medal" as the best player of the year. He managed 17 goals in 72 appearances.
