FC Kaiserslautern have today snapped up German Under 21 international Amin Younes from Borussia Mönchengladbach on a 12 month loan deal.

Younes, 21, has clocked up 27 appearances for the Borussians over the past two seasons, scoring once and collecting three assists.

The winger fell out of favour with his parent club last season, playing 14 times last season but managing only 183 minutes of game time, forcing him to look for a move.

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl was coy about the move, telling the Borussia site “Amin made it clear to us at the start of the season that he would like a move. He needs and wants more game time and it would be good if he could get that at a high level.”

The Red Devils missed out on the Bundesliga playoffs by six points past season, and will hope the acquisition of Younes will go some way to bridging that gap, and Kosta Runjaic, head coach, told the FCK official site "With Amin Younes we get a tech savvy, well-educated and dribbling offensive player. With its playful class he fits our playground.”

However, The Foals still have the youngster in their future plans, giving Kaiserslautern no buy option in the loan deal, meaning he will return to Borussia Park in June 2015.
