Eugen Polanski has extended his contract at Hoffenheim, which now runs until June 2017.

The Polish midfielder, who was imperious in his side's 2-0 win against Augsburg, had this to say on the extention:

"It was a logical consequence of what has been created here at TSG in the recent months.

"I feel comfortable here, we have strong characters and a great team - the ideal conditions for a successful future." Polanski finished off by saying it was a 'great pleasure' to be at Hoffenehim.

Alexander Rosen, added: "Due to his appearance and his presence outside the pitch Eugen, has rapidly become an important figure in our team.

"He is professional to one hundred percent, he accepts responsibility and his word carries weight within the team."

Polanski has become a firm fixture in Markus Gisdol's side after a move from Mainz in 2013. Following somewhat average spells with Getafe and Mainz, he's been a revelation at TSG. He will look to force himself into Poland selection with some fine performances, if Saturday is anything to go by, both club and country can reap the rewards of his performances.
