Salomon Kalou has completed his move to Hertha BSC making him the club's tenth signing of the summer. The fee of the transfer is reportedly €3 million and Kalou has signed a three-year deal which will expire in June 2017. 

Kalou has enjoyed plenty of success in his career so far, winning the Premier League, the League Cup, Community Shield, FA Cup four times and the Champions League all with Chelsea. The 29-year-old has made 64 appearances for Côte d'Ivoire, scoring 23 times. 

During his time with Lille he was one of the club's key players and in his two season's he made 77 appearances, while contributing with 34 goals and 11 assists. Kalou's longest spell with a club was with Chelsea, he spent six seasons in England making 251 appearances, scoring 60 goals and producing 40 assists. Kalou started his career in Holland where he played three seasons with Feyenoord, his first season saw him make 2 appearances for Feyenoord and then he was sent out on loan to Excelsior where he played 11 times and scored 4 goals. The next two seasons for Feyenoord saw him playing a more key role, Kalou made 80 appearances in those two seasons, scoring 42 goals. For his display's in the 2004-2005 season Kalou received the Dutch Football Talent of the Year award.
