Marco Reus will be out for four weeks after picking up an ankle injury in Germany's 2-1 win over Scotland in their Euro 2016 Qualifier.

The Borussia Dortmund forward will miss the Revierderby on 27 September. The 25-year old will also miss the Champions League games against Arsenal and Anderlecht.

Staying with the national team, Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has reiterated that he is committed to the German cause, and that: "resignation from the national team isn't an option."

In an interview with kicker magazine, the 29-year old said he is looking forward to the qualifying campaign.

"I'm still as hungry as ever. My next big goal in the European Championships.

"I still enjoy playing for Germany and it's a pleasure to be part of it all.

"I don't need to be afraid of anybody in the national team," he added. "I'm not here just because I'm the joker Podolski who raises everbody's spirits.

"I'm here because I deserve to be here. I'm part of this team and I will get my games."

The former FC Köln striker played a bit part role in Joachim Löw's squad at the World Cup in Brazil. The German made his international debut in 2004, and has since gone of to appear 118 times for Die Mannschaft, scoring 47 goals.

Elsewhere, Bundesliga side Hamburg and ex-sporting director Oliver Kreuzer reached an agreement this morning over termination of the 48-year olds contract with the club.

Former Karlsruher SC and Bayern Munich defender Kreuzer was released from HSV on July 14 and will now be paid the remainder of his salary (€800,000), as well as full use of a company car, until 30 June 2016.

Finally, Bayer Leverkusen have told reporters that they are yet to receive any bids for World Cup winner Christoph Kramer.

The 23-year old is currently on a two-year loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach and will return to Leverkusen next season.

"There is no offer [for Kramer]. Christoph's contract with us will run until 2017. Nothing else matters," Jonas Boldt told kicker.

The midfielder has been linked with a €15 million move away from Leverkusen. However, with Simon Rolfes and Stefan Reinartz's contracts running out June 2015, Roger Schmidt will look to hang on to the German.
