In a recent interview with the media in Germany, young attacking midfielder Piazon was quoted as admitting that he could stay at Frankfurt past his loan spell from Premier League side Chelsea - where he has been unable to stamp his authority as a young talent in a team full of top quality, well-known names.

Based on that, young players with potential like Piazon are unable to develop their potential enough to play/feature for the first-team on a regular basis; which can be frustrating for young players who just want to play football.

Below are quotes from the interview, as reported by German newspaper BILD:

Question: You are only 20, but have travelled a lot; Chelsea to Spain, Holland, and now on-loan to Frankfurt. Unusual?

Piazon: I think it's normal. Chelsea has so many good players, because it is currently difficult to find me a place. Here, I can play and gain experience.

Question: What impressions have you gained on the European tour?

Piazon: Malaga was almost like Brazil - beach, sun, loose football. In Holland, the language is so complicated for me, but the league was weaker. In Frankfurt, everything is professional; the Bundesliga is one of the toughest leagues, but precisely because it is fun.

Q: And the football here?

P: The footballer-life in Holland was simple: only the morning training, andd three days before each game we had quite costless. For me this is so everything is a challenge; I am learning a lot because (Thomas) Schaaf (manager of Frankfurt) is very communicative, he explains a lot and I have more space to play. I'm happy here.

Q: Where do you see your future?

P: I came from Brazil directly to Chelsea and know all of the players in the club. Of course, I wish to play there once again but football is a surprise because everything can change quickly.

Q: Would you imagine staying in Frankfurt any longer?

P: I'm only 20 and as I said, anything can happen in football. If everything fits, of course I can imagine to stay in Frankfurt. Next week I pull out of the hotel in my apartment, and tomorrow my language course begins. Then, I learn German.

Despite having loan spells elsewhere in Europe, it would be a surprise if Piazon were to leave Chelsea for good. He signed for The Blues back in 2011, and has starred in both the Chelsea youth team as well as the Brazil U-20 side.
